Teleprompter for Webex Meetings

Webex meetings need the same discipline as Zoom: cues near the lens, share a specific window, pause for discussion. Open picture-in-picture in the free web teleprompter — no desktop install.

Open the free web teleprompter. On Chrome, Edge, or Firefox you can already use picture-in-picture — a floating Document PiP window with your scrolling script — so cues sit beside Webex on one monitor without a sticky note or second display. Put the full window on another monitor or a phone beside the webcam if you prefer. Share only what the audience should see: GoTeleprompter does not hide from screen capture, so window choice still matters.

Who this setup is for

  • Enterprise presenters standardized on Webex
  • Support and success teams running scripted enablement calls
  • Speakers who already know the Zoom dual-window pattern
  • Windows users who need a free browser option

How to use a teleprompter with Webex

  1. Load your talking points in the web teleprompter (open, proof, transitions, close).
  2. Set ~120–130 WPM and large font; open Document PiP on Chrome/Edge/Firefox and place it beside Webex near the webcam — ideal for one-laptop meetings. Or use a second display.
  3. Join Webex. Share an application or content window — not the entire screen if the script or PiP is visible there.
  4. Start scrolling for prepared sections; pause when attendees jump in.
  5. Optional: use a phone beside the webcam if you prefer not to use PiP.

Tips that keep delivery natural

  • Picture-in-picture is already in the web teleprompter — same playbook as Zoom and Teams.
  • Test share once with a colleague so you confirm the prompter is not in the feed.
  • Keep FAQs as a short list you can skip when someone asks early.

What GoTeleprompter does and does not do here

The web teleprompter already has desktop picture-in-picture: float a small scrolling script (with play/pause) next to Webex — especially convenient for meetings on a laptop. You also get WPM scroll, font and theme controls, mirror H/V, and a read-line cue. PiP works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop (not Safari or mobile). Scripts stay on your device. It does not float invisibly over Webex, does not use voice scrolling, and does not exclude itself from screen share — share the right window (or keep PiP / the full window off the captured display).

FAQ

Will Webex participants see my teleprompter?
Only if you share the desktop or the window that shows it. Share slides or a single app instead, or keep the script in PiP off a full-screen share / on another monitor or phone.
Does picture-in-picture work with Webex?
Yes. Open Document PiP from the web teleprompter in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and tuck it beside Webex. Not available in Safari or on mobile browsers.
Do I need a Webex plugin?
No. GoTeleprompter does not connect to your Webex account. It runs as a separate browser page (or PiP) or on your phone.
Does this work on Windows for Webex?
Yes. Use the free web teleprompter in Chrome or Edge next to the Webex app or browser client.
What pace works for Webex presentations?
About 120–130 WPM for meetings and webinars — deliberate enough for clarity, with room to pause.
