Teleprompter for Riverside Interviews

Riverside interviews work best with short question blocks. Open picture-in-picture in GoTeleprompter, float cues near the lens, and keep them out of the recorded layout.

Open the free web teleprompter. On Chrome, Edge, or Firefox you can already use picture-in-picture — a floating Document PiP window with your scrolling script — so cues sit beside Riverside on one monitor without a sticky note or second display. Put the full window on another monitor or a phone beside the webcam if you prefer. Share only what the audience should see: GoTeleprompter does not hide from screen capture, so window choice still matters.

Who this setup is for

  • Podcast hosts running remote interviews in Riverside
  • Video podcast teams who need consistent question order
  • Show producers who cue transitions without paper notes
  • Guests who want talking points without reading on camera

How to use a teleprompter with Riverside

  1. Load questions and transitions as short blocks in the web teleprompter — leave room to improvise between cues.
  2. Open picture-in-picture (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) and place the floating script beside Riverside near the webcam — or use a second monitor / phone.
  3. Join Riverside as usual. Do not share or display-capture the teleprompter (or PiP) into the studio layout.
  4. Use a large font and slower WPM so you can glance, not read every word.
  5. Skip ahead in the cue list when a guest answers a later question early; pause when the conversation runs.

Tips that keep delivery natural

  • PiP is the convenient one-laptop cue card for hosts who do not want paper notes.
  • Order questions by priority, not a rigid sequence you cannot break.
  • Hosts need cues; guests often need only a few proof points.
  • For long-form shows, see the podcast teleprompter guide for intro/ad patterns.

What GoTeleprompter does and does not do here

The web teleprompter already has desktop picture-in-picture: float a small scrolling script (with play/pause) next to Riverside — especially convenient for meetings on a laptop. You also get WPM scroll, font and theme controls, mirror H/V, and a read-line cue. PiP works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop (not Safari or mobile). Scripts stay on your device. It does not float invisibly over Riverside, does not use voice scrolling, and does not exclude itself from screen share — share the right window (or keep PiP / the full window off the captured display).

FAQ

Will Riverside record my teleprompter?
Only if the script or PiP is on a screen or window that gets captured into the recording. Keep it private beside the camera. GoTeleprompter does not integrate with Riverside or hide from capture automatically.
Does picture-in-picture work with Riverside?
Yes on Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Float question cues near the lens; keep PiP off any display capture into Riverside.
Should I script the whole interview?
No. Use short question prompts and transition lines. Full scripts make interviews sound stiff when the guest goes somewhere interesting.
Does this work on Windows with Riverside?
Yes. Run the free web teleprompter in your browser next to Riverside. There is no native Windows GoTeleprompter app.
