Teleprompter for StreamYard

StreamYard is your stage; GoTeleprompter is your private cue card. Open picture-in-picture, float the script near the camera, and never add it as a shared browser source on stream.

Open the free web teleprompter. On Chrome, Edge, or Firefox you can already use picture-in-picture — a floating Document PiP window with your scrolling script — so cues sit beside StreamYard on one monitor without a sticky note or second display. Put the full window on another monitor or a phone beside the webcam if you prefer. Share only what the audience should see: GoTeleprompter does not hide from screen capture, so window choice still matters.

Who this setup is for

  • Creators hosting live shows and interviews in StreamYard
  • Brands running webinars with guest banners and scenes
  • Hosts who need openers, CTAs, and sponsor reads on cue
  • Teams that already use a dual-monitor desk

How to use a teleprompter with StreamYard

  1. Paste your show flow (cold open, segments, CTAs, close) into the web teleprompter.
  2. Open picture-in-picture (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) and keep that floating window off StreamYard’s shared screens — or use a second monitor / phone beside the webcam.
  3. Build the StreamYard broadcast as usual with camera, guests, and slides.
  4. Scroll at meeting pace (~120–130 WPM) for hosts; pause when guests talk.
  5. Hit your scripted CTA and close from the prompter so the ask is clear.

Tips that keep delivery natural

  • PiP is the convenient one-laptop cue list for live hosts without a second display.
  • Sponsor reads and URLs belong on the prompter so you do not misstate them.
  • Do not present the teleprompter tab as a StreamYard screen share.

What GoTeleprompter does and does not do here

The web teleprompter already has desktop picture-in-picture: float a small scrolling script (with play/pause) next to StreamYard — especially convenient for meetings on a laptop. You also get WPM scroll, font and theme controls, mirror H/V, and a read-line cue. PiP works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop (not Safari or mobile). Scripts stay on your device. It does not float invisibly over StreamYard, does not use voice scrolling, and does not exclude itself from screen share — share the right window (or keep PiP / the full window off the captured display).

FAQ

Can viewers see my StreamYard teleprompter?
Not unless you share that window or display into the broadcast. Keep the script private in PiP on another monitor or device.
Does picture-in-picture work with StreamYard?
Yes on Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Use PiP as a private cue card; do not share that display into the studio.
Is there a StreamYard teleprompter add-on?
GoTeleprompter does not need a StreamYard plugin. It is a separate free browser page with PiP (or iOS app for filming, not for the StreamYard desk).
What should I put on the prompter for a live show?
Segment titles, key questions, sponsor lines, URLs, and the closing CTA — not every sentence you might say.
